Does Jetset Sound actively pitch songs?
We do actively pitch songs when we hear of a certain project looking for a specific genre, with specific lyrical content, etc. We are contacted on a regular basis by supervisors working on current projects. However, Jetset Sound is more of a modern online music library where music supervisors can cruise through at their leisure looking for sound-a-like bands. That's why we take none of your earnings from any placement and simply charge hosting fees to expose your music online. Please contact us when you get a placement and we will feature you and share the credit and your joy ;).
What Music Supervisors are registered with the site?
The music supervisors that are registered range from indie filmmakers all the way up to top supervisors pitching songs for feature films and commercials.
Technical Q&A:
I just registered and paid, but my login is not working?
If your account does not automatically activate after you pay your hosting fee, there could be several reasons - we could be doing server updates, or for some reason a glitch occurs. No problem! Simply email us and let us know so we can manually activate you asap!
I have uploaded my music, but made a mistake with genre listing, etc. What can I do?
The best thing to do is to contact us and we will make the change from our admin area. At this point with our system, you would have to re-upload your track to change the genre.
Why are we allowed only 5 songs to upload?
5 songs is enough to whet the appetite of any music supervisor. More than that is overload. If they're interested, they'll request a CD from you.
Can I upload my lyrics?
Yes, soon. Lyrics are very important and to make the process even more smooth we will be adding an area for your lyrical content in the coming months.
I'm having trouble hearing my song after I uploaded it. What do I do?
Try listening to your song in a different browser. If you are using Mozilla Firefox, try Internet Explorer. Browsers are funky. Internet Explorer usually works every time.
I'm a former Jetset Artist from 2007 and I see that my artist name is there, but there are no songs uploaded for me. What's wrong?
Last year our website went through a transformation. At that time, we emailed all current Jetset Artists through Sonicbids letting them know that our site had been converted and they would now be able to upload up to 5 songs that would be screened upon upload. Some artists never received that email because of the Sonicbids mail system. That mail contained login information, etc. Please contact us immediately if you never received that mail for login information.
I'm a former Jetset Artist from 2007 and I'm not listed at all anymore on the site. What's wrong?
All former Jetset artists were re-registered with their email addresses. Please contact us right away so that we can rectify the situation and extend your subscription date to make up for your lost time.
I was accepted as a Jetset Artist in 2007 when you were working with Sonicbids and when I tried to sign up with the link in your email, it didn't work?
Yes, the link became bunk when we changed our website, please contact us or simply sign up on the new site.
I was accepted as a Jetset Artist in 2007 and I never heard anything more after that. What's the next step?
Yes, some of our artists never received the follow-up letter through the Sonicbids system. If you were accepted, you're in our records. All you have to do now is sign up. |
